The place was amazing. It was sleek and modern and large windows throughout with spectacular view of the ocean, coast line (both directions) and views of the mountains. And a nice outdoor area. Joe was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed his special touches in making us feel welcome. It was a great place to celebrate a special birthday!Thank you, Joe! 👍️

Had an amazing trip with the family to celebrate my sister's graduation. Everything was as described, with breathtaking views, and the ambiance felt spot on. Joe was extremely communicative and saw to our every need, very accommodating and noting where there was slight changes from the original description (updated now). The place was pristine and spacious, especially for a group of our size. From the lawn games to the thoughtfully laid out amenities and kitchenware, you can tell they have experience hosting. Our stay was made extra special because we stayed at this location. Thanks again!

Exquisite property and best rental house ever. The host was fantastic, which made the property even more special. We wanted for nothing. The outside games and hot tub were a big hit for our group of five friends celebrating our birthdays. We had planned to do so much more in Santa Barbara but just couldn’t get motivated enough to leave the house. The views are incredible. The beach area is quiet. The planes aren’t bad at all. The kitchen is stocked with lots of small appliances and it’s set up well to cook meals. Plenty of hot water, super comfortable beds and pillows, robes and slippers provided. You simply won’t get a better experience than this.

Joel was great to work with. He was always quick to respond, kept us informed, and made everything easy from start to finish. It's a fabulous property. Please be aware that the backyard is not as shown as the deck is roped off due to cliff erosion which significantly affects both the experience and functionality of the oceanfront location.

This property was incredible. The views were unbelievable. The house actually looks better in person than in the pictures. When we had some issues, not caused by the house or host, Joe went above and beyond to get them alleviated quickly. I would go back another 10 times, it was truly incredible.

This house was absolutely amazing! Beautiful modern home with great finishes, plenty of space, and an awesome indoor-outdoor living set-up. Tucked away in quiet neighborhood, the house is perfect for lowkey getaway with plenty of privacy. Furniture and appliances were in good condition and the entire house was spotless upon check-in. Fruit basket, cupcakes, and some local snacks and beverages were a thoughtful touch from the hosts. And the ocean views are absolutely spectacular. We particularly enjoyed watching the seals that hang out on the nearby rocks. There was apparently some movement of the bluffs immediately prior to our arrival so unfortunately, we weren't able to make use of the concrete deck that juts out over the cliffs. However, Joe and Colby made sure the area was safely fenced off and thoughtfully dropped off a gift card to the spa at the nearby Ritz Carlton as an apology, which was greatly appreciated. All-in-all a wonderful stay - we hope to come back soon!

This is a stunning home with a gorgeous ocean view in a really nice and peaceful neighborhood. The house is very spacious and the furnishings and decor are lovely. There are numerous seating areas on the oceanfront terrace and on the upstairs deck. Our family of 5 stayed here for several days over Easter break. Our three kids (16, 23, 23) loved having their own bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Each bathroom had all the bath and shower essentials. Joe and Colby were the perfect hosts. We really appreciated all the special touches - the roses & orchids, the local delicacies, the wine, the fruit, and the desserts. We will definitely come back again.

We had a really nice couple nights here! Such a beautiful, big home and love that it's at the end of the road with a very peaceful field/property next door and just a five mins walk away, both the access to the beach below (super private/nearly empty) and a large field with walking trails. The house is really beautiful - super clean - slept really well. Joe/Colby had also left some nice wine and food and fruit for us upon arrival. Really appreciated that.There is a bit of a smell when it's lower tide because the seals are out on the rocks so just a heads up on that. Really great stay though, would definitely return!

From the moment we arrived until our last day, everything was beyond perfect. This slice of heaven deserves 10 stars! The spectacular, endless ocean views are even better in person than in photos—far superior to any luxury hotel.Joe is a phenomenal host. We were greeted with thoughtful complimentary snacks, fruit, and cupcakes, and his responsiveness was unmatched. He even went above and beyond by locating and shipping a personal item we left behind.The house itself is the definition of luxury. For those who love to cook, the kitchen is fully stocked with high-end All-Clad cookware and an easy-to-use BBQ grill. We spent our time enjoying the new outdoor jacuzzi and the top-floor sauna, though there was so much to explore (including beach access) that we still didn't see it all.This was the perfect vacation for all three generations of our family. We are immensely grateful for Joe’s hospitality and are already dreaming of our return!

This is an EXTRAORDINARY property + home. Our family of 5 rented it for Christmas week. The home is well constructed & acoustically perfect; I could not hear my sons downstairs cheering or screaming at the football games on tv). The spaces are vast and modern while also being welcoming for family gathering. We cooked a lot - many food stores and magnificent fresh markets nearby, and Joe kindly added serving platters and bowls to the culinary collection, at my request.We are serious foodies and loved preparing meals here because anyone who wasn’t in the kitchen was visible on the nearby family room couch or on the lawn overlooking the ocean (or even in the hot tub). I appreciated a separate nearby LR (without tv) that made me feel in the family mix but also afforded me a little quiet spot to read. Bedrooms are large and well appointed - each with big ocean views. Joe is a listening host who cares 150% about his guests’ experiences.Loved the non-fancy + friendly neighborhood + beach

We had a wonderful time in this lovely modern home. Perfect getaway for a girls reunion. Beautiful open floor plan. everything was well appointed. The airplane noise was not bad, I think it would be worse if the windows were open at night. I would definitely come back and stay - would love air conditioning units in all bedrooms. The host was fantastic, location was awesome -I definitely recommend this property:)

This place was breathtaking. The views from each room are like a postcard. The house was spotless, everything felt like we were the first ones to use it. All the rooms have their own large bathrooms with big showers and some a nice soaking tub. The kitchen, living room and the bedrooms have all the amenities and the house was worth every penny. Staying here makes you feel like a celebrity. The walk to the private beach was short and easy. We will be back for sure!

My approach is simple: prepare the home with care, communicate clearly and be available when you need me. I want you to feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.

A few details worth knowing.
The home & sleeping arrangements
Up to eight guests across four bedrooms, with three king beds and one queen bed. One downstairs bedroom is reached through the garage or its own exterior entrance.
The setting & beach access
The separate blufftop viewing deck has been closed due to erosion. Ask Joe about current outdoor access before booking. The home sits on a coastal bluff with natural drop-offs. Beach access involves walking down the bluff. Children require supervision, and guests should review the property's setting and access information before booking.
The neighborhood & arrival
Shoreline House is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Respect for neighbors is essential. Parking is limited to four cars on the property. Aircraft noise may be audible because the home is near the Santa Barbara Airport flight path.

Event fee: $25,000 per day.
Maximum event attendance: 50 people.
Every event requires advance approval and adherence to the property's event rules, including transportation and arrival planning, sound, catering, safety and respect for the neighborhood. Joe will review the requirements and event details with you before anything is confirmed.
The event attendance limit is separate from the home's overnight limit of eight guests. The stay calendar does not confirm event availability.
